BURCS Treadmill Marathon & 50K

Winter in New England is cold, dark, and bleak. Wind bites at the exposed flesh, making it hard to get good long runs in. To spice up your winter training, consider the BURCS Treadmill Marathon (and 50K)!

You can run a marathon, a 50k, a marathon & 50k, or 2 x 50k. Register for one race or all 3!

UPDATE: There is now a Frozen Folly Outdoor 50k for those who cannot have access to a treadmill due to Covid. Choose a single calendar day, lace up, bundle up and head outside to complete your 50k challenge!

HOW DOES IT WORK? Select any 24-hour period between January 1 and January 31 to log your distance. You have 24 hours from when you timestamp your START to finish 26.2/31.07 miles on a treadmill. This event needs proof of distance. Take breaks as needed, just grab a picture on your phone every time the treadmill stops. Send all captured photos that equal 26.2/31.07 miles WITH YOUR CUMULATIVE FINISH TIME to the RD.

If registering for the 50k, you will have 24 hours as well to log 31.07 miles (50km) on the treadmill and do the same. If planning to register for one event, reg cost is $30 early, $40 regular.

All participants who complete the marathon or 50km in under 24 hours will receive a BURCS BADASS signature item and medal which will be mailed at the conclusion of the event.

REGISTRATION COST: $35 early reg, $45 regular reg; save money for 50k by registering for 2x50k if you are exceptionally bored in the winter!

Profits will be donated at the conclusion of the event to a local charity, the AYJ Fund which provides free programs and treatment options for those children locally and nationally facing a cancer diagnosis.
