Dr Peggy's 5K Walk for the Cause

Event Details

This 5K Breast Cancer Awareness Walk 2024 marks the first of its kind during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Portage, Indiana. The proceeds go to the nonprofit Dr Peggy Winston Pritchett's Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. 501(c) 3 dba Dr Peggy's Karaoke for the Cure. The funds raised are used for the purpose of purchasing wigs, scarves, and skincare items to be donated to women who have suffered hair loss due to receiving chemotherapy.

The donated items are distributed to patients and survivors through Northwest Cancer Treatment Centers in Northwest Indiana. Participate and receive small gifts, including wristbands and water, as a token of appreciation.
