Fineview Step Challenge

Event Details

Fineview Citizens Council is hosting its 29th Annual Urban Step & Trail Challenge on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Participants will ascend Fineview’s hills, streets, and staircases. Among the steps are Pittsburgh’s STEEPEST stair set (371 steps) on Rising Main Avenue, equivalent to a 17-story building! The course covers 12 public staircases for a total of over 1,600 steps, providing breathtaking views along the way.

All proceeds from the event will benefit programming related to community beautification, preserving affordability, and events.

Course Options

• 5 Mile Course - Distance: 5 Miles, Price: $30.00 - $35.00
• 2 Mile Course - Distance: 2 Miles, Price: $15.00 - $20.00

Group Registration Pricing

Participants can register in groups of 4-8 and each group member will receive $5 off the current individual registration price for the 5-mile course. The group captain will register all individuals and be responsible for the group payment.

Awards

Awards will be handed out in the following categories in the 5-Mile Race:

• Top 3 Overall Female Participants
• Top 3 Overall Male Participants
• 1st Overall Non-Binary Participant
• 1st Overall Fineview Resident

Custom long sleeve tech t-shirts will be provided to all participants.
