Galena River Fall Half Marathon & 8k

Event Details

The Galena River Fall Half Marathon & 8K will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024. This scenic race features a fast, flat half marathon course along the Galena River Trail, with an additional 8K race option.

Packet Pickup:
Friday, Oct 25th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday, Oct 26th morning from 7:00 am - 7:45 am
Location: Below the Highway 20 bridge in the Train Depot parking area.

Hydration Stations: Water, Gatorade, and GU will be available at miles 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 12.

Course Information

This is an out and back course. The half marathon will utilize the south end of the trail and turnaround at the 5.50 mile marker, returning to the start, followed by a short out and back north for the remaining mileage. The 8K course follows a similar path, turning around at 2.50 miles.

Due to Galena Halloween festivities, the course will close at 11:00 AM. No walkers allowed for the half marathon; runners must finish before the course closes.
