Gone Loco

Welcome back to Gone Loco: in Athens, TN on February 9th on the beautiful Eureka Trail. The 55k will qualify you for The Cherokee Ultra. The course is a fine mesh gravel identical to what you will find on the Virginia Creeper Trail. There are a few back country roads that you will cross as you traverse through the woods. The trail system is open to bicycles and horses all year round and is very well maintained.

Event Details

This race is limited to 150 runners! Come explore the beautiful Eureka Trail in Athens. This trail was created from the rails to trails conversion and is very flat and 100% runnable. Following a former railroad bed, the gravel trail winds southeast through woodlands, rural landscapes, and the community of Mashburn before ending at the outskirts of Englewood.

Race Information

Packet pickup available the morning of the race at 6AM and February 8th from 5-7 PM at the Start of the Eureka Trail in Athens, TN. The start times are as follows: 11 Miler - 9 AM, 33 Miler (55k) - 8 AM.

Swag and Rewards

For runners that have participated in our previous races, you know we work hard and put extra effort into our medals, shirts, and awards. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall Male and Female will be awarded. The top male and female finisher racing in the live physical event will receive an extra award.

Refunds and Cutoff

Refunds will be available until December 1, 2024, minus the UltraSignup fee. The race cutoff is at 6 PM, giving the 33 milers 10 hours to complete their race.
