OktoBier 5K Run/Walk

Love Bier & Oktoberfest? Love Running or walking? Join us for the OKTOBIER 5K run/walk at Busse Woods - South Grove Picnic Grove #5, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. This event will feature the 5K competitive run only (3.1 miles) starting at 12:00 pm and at 1:00 pm the recreational 5K walk, (doogie walk division, family kid friendly). After the 5K run/walk, head to Picnic Grove #5 to redeem your drink ticket for participants ages 21+. Prost!

Registration includes:

Oktobier 5K T-shirt (Only adult sizes will be available.) 1 Beer, N/A beer, root beer drink ticket, water for ages 21+ participants Chipped Timed 5K (Competitive division only) Age group prizes Fun party blasting DJ Free photos Snacks Bottled water or root beer will be available for minors under the age of 21. Water station will be available at the finish line and half way of the course.

Packet Pickup:

Race day only starting: at 11:00 - 11:45 am for the competitive division. from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm for the recreational division.

Course Map:

The race starts and finishes at Busse Woods #Grove 5! The route is on a paved path and features an amazing and scenic course! This is a flat and fast course, great for a PR. Runners and walkers are welcomed to participate!

Age Group Awards and More Info:

This event will be offering age group awards! The top 3 finishers in each age category will also receive a custom age group award! 10 Year Categories: 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & Over. There will be an age group ceremony starting at 12:45 pm for the competitive division. Also, please look up your results at www.J3Timing.com after finishing. If you placed top 3 in your category, please visit the award’s area to pick up your award. Thank you!

FAQs:

Is the race only for 21+? No, minors are welcome to participate and receive a discounted registration that includes a medal and bib (these participants will not receive a beer or N/A beer ticket. Water, Root Beer options for minors and racers. Are strollers allowed? You are welcome to use a stroller for this event but only for the recreational 5K walk division starting at 1:00 pm. Is walking allowed? Yes! The 5K walk division will start at 1:00 pm. Is the race dog friendly? Yes, dogs are allowed on a leash please! The 5K doggie walk division will start at 1:00 pm.
