Pound the Pavement 5K Racine

Join us on 09/21/2024 for the Pound the Pavement 5K Racine, a 5K running event in Downtown Racine. The run begins at Sam Johnson Parkway and Lake Avenue promptly at 10am, followed by the biggest block party in Wisconsin! In partnership with the Downtown Racine Corporation, Party on the Pavement will be host to the 3rd annual Pound the Pavement 5K – Celebrating Downtown Racine! The day’s festivities kick off at noon and run until 7:00 pm. Admission to the Party on the Pavement grounds is free, which takes place downtown on Main Street from State Street to 7th Street, and all of 6th Street from Lake Avenue to City Hall. Indulge in an array of international cuisine from the downtown restaurants and food vendors lining both 6th and Main Streets. Major sponsors for Party on the Pavement include S.C. After the award ceremony enjoy Free admission to Racine’s largest street festival featuring music, art, food, rides, and games, and other great family-friendly activities. The race starts promptly at 10:00 am. We recommend arriving early and giving yourself enough time to get your race packet and get to the start line. You need to be at the start line by 9:50 am - Runners should start in the front. Anyone with a stroller will need to start in the back. Parking: Parking is available throughout Downtown Racine. We suggest using the McMynn Towers ramp, Marina Parking ramp, Gaslight Point ramp or Shoop Parking ramp for easy in and out. Awards info: All participants will receive a custom finishers medal. The top three males and females will be recognized as well as the top male and female in respective 10-year age groups. 9 and under 10-year age categories (starting at 10yrs old on up) Packet pickup: Saturday, September 21, 2024 8:15 am - 9:45 am (Main and 6th Streets)
