Stronger Together 5k

The Teal Diva Lowcountry 5k is joining forces with two other amazing non-profits: Nothing Pink and the South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation for an amazing collaboration. Together, we celebrate the power of three. Through this event and our outreach within the Lowcountry, we plan to educate the community on hereditary breast and ovarian cancers along with signs and symptoms of gynecological cancers. Join us for an unforgettable day as we join forces for the first time presenting the Stronger Together 5k at Johns Island County Park on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The race will start at 9:00 am. The race course is absolutely beautiful guiding runners and walkers on a packed sandy trail under beautiful live oak trees. The event is open to families and even friendly fur-babies. The park is just down the road from the Angel Oak Tree. The mission of Nothing Pink is to increase awareness of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer and provide personalized support to individuals at high risk. The mission of SCOCF is to raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer, make information about small cell ovarian cancer more readily available to future patients and their families, and to fund research into this dreadful disease. And Teal Diva's mission focuses on the mental and emotional health of those affected by a gynecologic cancer.
