Throw on your ugliest sweater, lace up your running shoes, and join us in a new location for the 5th annual Ugly Sweater Run presented by Hunter Subaru!

Event Details

The Ugly Sweater Run is excited to announce its new race location at Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard, NC! This year’s event features a scenic, mostly flat course running through the beautiful greenways, around the Brevard Sports Complex, and the charming streets of Brevard. With less than 100 feet of elevation gain on the 5k loop, and a double loop for the 10k, it promises to be fun for participants and spectators alike. The all-paved surfaces make it perfect for families, pets and stroller friendly and anyone eager to wear their most festive ugly sweater. Plus, it’s easy to get onto the course to cheer on your favorite runner. Join us for a morning of fitness, fun, and holiday spirit!

SWAG: What you get!

Register before November 3rd at midnight and get a FREE long sleeve dri-fit shirt, available in unisex and women's sizes, with your registration! Beginning November 4th, shirts will only be available in limited quantities and sizes for $25. All participants will get a Hunter Subaru goody bag and a festive holiday finisher ornament. NEW THIS YEAR: Redeem the ticket on your race bib for a FREE BEER at Oskar Blues Brewery, after you race!

Packet Pickup

CLICK HERE for Packet Pickup schedule and details. Children 14 and under: please run with an adult! This is a family friendly event, but it also takes place on roads that are open to traffic. We'll have road signs, course marshals, and police officers on the course, but all runners under 14 should be accompanied by an adult.

Costume Contest

This year we're taking the costume contest to the next level! We're in search of the 'Most Creative Sweater!' Come one, come all, and come UGLY! Grab your tinsel, sequins, Christmas lights, ornaments, jingle bells and everything wacky and tacky, and create your own custom ho-ho-horrible ugly sweater! The most creative ugly sweater for male, female, kid and group categories will win special prizes from Oskar Blues Brewery! Take a photo and post it on social media, then tag @idaphevents and use hashtag #uglysweaterrun.

Holiday Hustle Series

This race is part of the Holiday Hustle presented by Hunter Subaru! Get ready to sleigh the holidays with us again this year as we bring back the most popular running series, the Holiday Hustle presented by Hunter Subaru! Participants can join us either in-person or virtually (or a combo of both) for these three races: South Asheville Turkey Trot (Nov 28), Ugly Sweater Run (Dec 7), New Year’s Resolution Run (Jan 1) and receive a festive 'Holiday Hustle' mug on New Year's Day!
