10th Annual Save A Heart Hybrid 5K

The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus) is excited to host the 10th Annual Hybrid version of the "Save a Heart 5K" event. This no-cost event aims to encourage residents and visitors to engage in physical activity, improving both fitness and mood.

Event Details

Registration for both in-person and virtual events opens on Thursday, August 1st, and closes on Monday, September 16th. The first 200 registrants will receive a commemorative T-Shirt and Swag bag!

The in-person event will take place on September 21st at the Pavilion in Whispering Pines Park, with a race start time of 8 AM. Participants can also upload their distance, times, and activities on the event website from September 16th to September 21st.

Swag Bag Pickup

Swag bag pickup will occur at the IFAS building next to the Lecanto Health Department at 3650 West Sovereign Path, Lecanto, FL 34461. Pickup dates and times are as follows:

• Monday, September 16, 2024 - 11 AM to 1 PM
• Tuesday, September 17, 2024 - 4 PM to 6 PM
• Thursday, September 19, 2024 - 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
