Celebrating 11 Years of Supporting Our Purple Community! Join ESWO to Celebrate the 11th Anniversary of Seize the Day

Join us on Sunday, September 29th, 2024, as Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario (ESWO) hosts our Annual Seize the Day Fundraiser at Graham Family Eco Park! All proceeds will support vital services for individuals living with epilepsy, their families, and their communities throughout Southwestern Ontario. This family-friendly event kicks off at 10:00 am and features a 5K run and a 2.5K walk, followed by a delicious BBQ. Whether you're participating to honor a loved one, support those affected by epilepsy, or help raise awareness, we invite you to be part of this special day. Let's surpass last year's success and celebrate our amazing purple community! Join us in showing those living with epilepsy that they are not alone. Let’s make every step count!

Countdown to event

Location: Graham Family Eco Park, 15769-, 16033 Medway Rd, Arva, ON N0M 1C0

A beautiful private park located near the corner of Clarke and Medway Rd. Portable washrooms will be available on site. 2.5K walkers will complete two laps of the trail and 5K runners will complete four laps.

Unable to join us in person? Join us for a Virtual Run/Walk

A virtual run or walk allows you to participate in the event from any location you choose. Whether you walk, run, or use a wheelchair/stroller, you can create your own route and go at your own pace, timing yourself if desired. You have from September 28-29 to complete your 2.5K or 5K. Be sure to:

1. Download your “I'm Walking For” sign.
2. Complete your 2.5K Walk/5K Run and share your photos with us by tagging @epilepsyswo on social media.
3. Download a participant certificate or print your own personalized certificate once you submit your results on Race Roster.
4. Seize the Day t-shirts are coming soon to our Purple Store! Stay tuned for more details.

Need motivation to get started?

1. Everyone who registers for the in-person event will receive a T-shirt! To ensure you get your preferred size, please register by August 14th, 2024. Participants who register after this date will still receive a T-shirt, but size availability cannot be guaranteed.
2. For those running virtually and are interested in a t-shirt, we will have them available to purchase on our online store. Stay tuned for more details.
3. The first 300 registrants will receive a run bag at the event.
