First Tri Sprint & Olympic 2024

Join us for the First Tri Sprint & Olympic 2024, an indoor pool-based triathlon held at Freedom Leisure in the Forest of Dean, United Kingdom. This event is perfect for beginners looking to try the sport for the first time or experienced athletes wanting to kick off the season with a short and friendly race.

The Sprint distance includes a 400m pool swim, 20km bike ride, and 5km run, while the Olympic distance features a 750m pool swim, 40km bike ride, and 5km run. Participants can choose to compete individually or as part of a relay team.

The event will start between 8:30am and 11am, depending on the number of swim waves. Registration opens at 7:30am on the morning of the event, and parking is available on-site for free. Please register before racking your bike and at least 30 minutes before your swim time slot.

A race briefing will be held poolside when you receive your race chip, so please ensure you are on poolside 10 minutes before your swim time. The bike and run routes can be found on the event website, and swim start times will be sent via email and posted on the website one week before the event.

The event venue is Freedom Leisure Centre on Church Road in Lydney. Prize categories include Male and Female Open 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Vet 1st, 50+ 1st, 60+ 1st, 70+ 1st, and Relay Team 1st.
