Freight Train 100k/50k

Event Details

The Freight Train 50k/100k is a companion race to the summertime Night Train 50k. It takes place on the same trail but is held in winter, on December 6, 2025, starting at 7:30 AM. This event includes a 100K, 50K, and a new Half Marathon option.

Course Information

This course features a relatively flat rail trail with a total elevation gain of less than 1500 feet for the 100k. Runners will pass over the famed “High Bridge” twice during their run. The event has an 18.5 hour time limit for the 100k, and 50k runners must finish before the 18 hour cutoff for the 100k runners.

Registration

Early registration is available until November 1st to guarantee a current shirt. After this date, shirts will be provided based on availability.

Awards

Finishers receive handcrafted pottery awards and top performers will be recognized. Discounts are available for groups and military personnel.

Important Considerations

Be prepared for unpredictable weather conditions as the event may be affected by winter weather. Deferral requests are subject to a fee and are at the director’s discretion.
