The Frigid Fox Ultra Trek is a winter endurance event held on the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin. The course is mainly on the trail with some exceptions for road crossings. Participants must be prepared for the unforgiving winter elements of Wisconsin.
The Ice Age Trail showcases the unique landscape features left behind by glacial ice over 12,000 years ago. It is a thousand-mile footpath entirely within Wisconsin, offering a place for mental and physical rejuvenation.
Participants must follow the rules of the trail, including yielding to faster individuals, no littering, and safe road crossings. Crew support is allowed at aid stations, and pacers are permitted after dark.
Various aid stations along the course provide water, hydration products, sandwiches, and other essentials for runners. Crew access is allowed at designated aid stations.
The race starts at 9am with an overall cutoff of 24 hours. There are specific cutoff times at Highway P and Mauthe Lake for runners to reach.
No refunds or deferrals are given after registration closes. Awards will be presented to top finishers in each gender category.
A training run opportunity will be available in December 2024, providing water, hydration products, and a safe ride back to the start if needed.
Athlete and volunteer briefings will be held in December 2024, with recordings available post briefing.
