Great Lengths 2024 INDIVIDUAL ENTRY

Great Lengths Swim Challenge is taking place on Sat 21 September at Sea Lanes, Madeira Drive in Brighton & Hove. This inclusive swim challenge bridges the gap between indoor and outdoor swimming, offering participants the opportunity to challenge themselves and raise money to support young people with learning disabilities.

Participants can use the discount code EARLYBIRDY to claim 30% off registration until midnight Sunday 16 June. Sign up to the mailing list for a 50% discount. The event offers various distances for participants to choose from, making the challenge personal to each individual.

All participants will receive a reusable Great Lengths swim cap, fundraising support, and a free swim at Sea Lanes before the event. To reduce waste, participants will receive an edible medal upon completing their personal challenge, expertly made by young people in training cafés.

About Team Domenica

Team Domenica aims to support young people with learning disabilities in finding paid employment and reaching their full potential. The organization offers education, work-based training, work experience, and wellbeing programs to empower candidates and help them transition into paid employment.

Accessibility

The event space at Sea Lanes is wheelchair accessible, with features such as wheelchair access to the swimming pool building, a 'Changing Places' toilet and changing room, and an assisted access hoist into the pool. Carers can attend for free, and additional accessibility requirements can be accommodated upon request.

Participants are encouraged to raise funds for Team Domenica's work supporting young people with learning disabilities. Once registered, participants can visit the Great Lengths Swim Challenge JustGiving page to start fundraising. The organization provides support and fundraising ideas to help participants reach their fundraising targets.
