Grosse Ile Memorial Day Race

A Beloved Grosse Ile Tradition Returns!

The Memorial Day 5k Race, a longstanding favorite on the island, is back! Previously hosted by the Island Road Runners, the event is now under the care of Conz Productions—but don’t worry, the race you know and love remains largely unchanged. Runners can still choose between the 5k and 8k routes, while kids can enjoy a free, one-mile fun run (note: T-shirt and medal not included for the fun run). The race will kick off on May 26th at Grosse Ile High School.

Registration Details:

• 5k: $40 until May 1st, afterwards $45 until race day
• 8k: $45 until May 1st, afterwards $50 until race day
• 1 Mile Fun Run: Free

Register by May 1st to guarantee your race T-shirt! Registrations after this date will still receive a medal, but T-shirts will no longer be available. Participants who register within 5 days of the race are not guaranteed a medal, so sign up early to secure yours!

Packet Pickup:

As we are still in the early planning stages, the location for packet pickup has yet to be designated. Once confirmed, we will update this website and send an email to all registered participants with the details. Stay tuned!

New This Year: Giving Back to Our Veterans

In honor of Memorial Day, we’re proud to donate $5 from each registration fee to a local veterans’ organization of your choice from our provided list. This race is about honoring those who have served, and we’re committed to giving back to our heroes.
