About the Event

It's the 10th annual Kootenay Fun 5! Join us on Saturday, May 3, 2025, for our community's well-loved 5 km walk/run at Kootenay Christian Academy! Last year's event was enormously successful with over 650 registrants!

Event Details

The Kootenay Fun 5 in Cranbrook is sure to be another successful event. To celebrate 10 years, we are offering two athletic events:

• The Original Walk/Run - Sign up for a fun and exciting event that includes a t-shirt, swag bag, and timing chip for the first 500 registrants! Our regular annual race features a scenic 5K course that is mainly flat and fast, perfect for novice and experienced runners, joggers, and walkers alike. Safe and friendly for kids of all ages.
• The Last Man Standing - A unique challenge for those daring enough to try! This "backyard ultramarathon" involves completing an approximate six kilometre loop, repeating every hour on the hour until only one athlete remains. It's a challenge for everyone to strive for their personal best!

Registration Benefits

All participants receive a race bib with a timing chip, while the Last Man Standing racers will receive all the perks of KF5 registrants plus a DNF mug (unless you're the last one!).

Awards

The top three male and female runners in each age category will win a medal, and the top overall male and female runners will receive a new pair of running shoes from Gerick Sports!

Post-Race Festivities

Participants are invited to enjoy post-race activities, including a BBQ and an award ceremony!
