LAR’s Swamp Stomp 1/2 Marathon & 1 Mile Fun Run

Event Details

The Lake Area Runners presents the Swamp Stomp 1/2 Marathon and the 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, December 14, 2024. The race will start and finish at Graywood Park located at: 3861 Gray Market Dr., Lake Charles, LA 70605.

This course through the streets of Graywood Plantation subdivision offers plenty of opportunities for your friends and family to cheer you on along the course! There will be multiple water stops and port-a-potties along the course, and an after party with free food, refreshments, games, and music!

Race Day Schedule

• Half Marathon:
• 6:00 AM - Packet pickup and race day registration opens
• 7:00 AM - Half Marathon race begins
• 11:00 AM - Cutoff time for the Half Marathon
• 1 Mile Fun Run:
• 9:00 AM - Packet pickup and race day registration begins
• 10:00 AM - 1 Mile Fun Run begins
• 11:00 AM - Firm cutoff for the 1 Mile Fun Run

Awards

Overall Male & Female, top 3 in each age category for the Half Marathon. All participants of the Fun Run receive a finisher's medal.

Registration Fees

• $90 September 1 - October 31
• $95 November 1 - November 22
• $100 November 23 - December 11
• $120 December 13 - 14 (online registration at packet pickup)

The minimum age to register for the Half Marathon is 14 (must be 14 years old by race day).

Packet Pickup

Friday, December 13, 2024 at Athlete's Corner, 1737 West Sale Road, Lake Charles, LA 70605 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Graywood Plantation Park from 6:00 AM - 6:45 AM.

Medals & jackets to finishers! To guarantee your correct sized jacket, register prior to November 22, 2024 and finish the race under 4 hours.
