Mt. Cheaha 50K UltraMarathon

Welcome to the Mt. Cheaha 50K UltraMarathon, taking place on Saturday, February 22, 2025. This point-to-point trail run will lead you to the summit of Cheaha Mountain, the highest point in Alabama at 2,407 feet.

Event Details

The race features scenic overlooks, creek crossings, and stunning views of lakes and waterfalls. With 80% of the course on single track trails, runners will experience the beauty of hardwood and pine forests.

Registration Information

Registration opens on September 2, 2023, with an initial price of $95, increasing to $115 after December 5, 2023. All prices include taxes and fees. To guarantee a race shirt, register by February 7, 2025.

Race Day Logistics

Packet pick-up will be available on Friday, February 23, at Coldwater Brewpub from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on race morning from 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM. Runners must check in by 7:15 AM at the Porters Gap Trail Head.

Transportation and Parking

Buses will depart for the race start at 6:05 AM from the Cheaha State Park Finish Line area. Parking is limited, so plan accordingly.

Restroom Facilities

Restrooms will be available at both the race start and finish areas for your convenience.
