About the Event
The Polar Bear Ultra 12H is a race where all participants must complete a 6.2 km loop every hour until they have finished 12 loops over 12 hours. Participants who do not complete a loop will be marked as DNF and the winner is determined by the cumulative time of the 12 fastest loops.
Event Regulations
- All participants must complete the 6.2 km loops in under 60 minutes.
- Each participant is allowed a maximum of one crew member, who cannot be replaced once the race begins.
- No help can be provided to the runner once their loop has started.
- Runners must remain on the course during their loop, except for bathroom breaks.
- Runners must return to the start area before the next lap starts.
- Runners must always start with their bib number/wristband.
- No cheating or shortcuts will be tolerated.
- After completing a loop, runners can go to the resting area and receive help from their crew.
- No spectators will be allowed in the resting area, but they can cheer on runners along the course.
- Any rule violations will result in disqualification.
- At the end of the 12 hours, the winner will be determined by the fastest cumulative time.
