Pullar Bear 5K

Event Details

The first Pullar Bear 5K run/walk will be held on November 23rd, 2024, starting at 9 AM. Participants will gather at Pullar Stadium Ice Arena, near the address: 435 E Portage Avenue, Sault Sainte Marie, MI 49783.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is scheduled from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, either inside Pullar or near the Start/Finish area, depending on the weather. Indoor restrooms will be available at the venue, along with complimentary hot chocolate for a warm start!

Registration Fees

• September: $25.00
• October: $30.00
• November 1-21: $35.00
• November 22: $40.00 (until 9 PM)

No race day registration will be available.

Early Packet Pickup

An early packet pickup will occur on Friday, November 22nd from 4 PM to 7 PM at a local downtown venue, to be announced as the date approaches.

Proceeds

A percentage of the proceeds benefits the Diane Peppler Resource Center, assisting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Donations exceeding registration fees are fully donated to DPRC.

Volunteers

Volunteers are encouraged to help at packet pickup, course setup, or aid stations, and will receive a free race entry for current or future events hosted by Yooper Running Company. Interested individuals should contact [email protected].

Awards & Medals

All finishers will receive medals, with special awards for overall gender winners, masters winners (ages 40-59), grandmasters (ages 60+), and first place in various age groups.

Weather

Expect cool temperatures, averaging high 20s to low 30s. Be prepared for potential snow during the race.
