Santa Sprint 5K

Sprint (or walk) through Chariton during the Santa Sprint 5K on Saturday, November 30, 2024! Hosted by Chariton Area Chamber/Main Street, we are celebrating the start of the holiday season with a brisk 10 AM run that starts and ends in Chariton’s historic Main Street District.

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female runners!

Jolliest Jogger Prize! The three participants dressed in the most impressive holiday attire will win the "Jolliest Jogger" Awards of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!

Signups and registration on the day of the race will be at the Larry J. Clark Memorial Gazebo on the Square at 9:00 AM. The starting line is at the Gazebo and we’ll kick off at 10 AM. Participants will be asked to sign an Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver of Liability form at registration. Participants under the age of 18 will need parent and/or guardian authorization completed at registration or they will not be able to participate.

The first 50 registrants will receive a Dazzle Fest stocking cap and a participant goodie bag at the finish line! Santa himself will be visiting Chariton at multiple locations throughout the day, so start your day off in Santa style and enjoy Dazzle Fest 2024!
