Tartarus Backyard Ultra

Event Details

Date: Saturday, September 6, 2025

Start Time: 8:00 AM (with subsequent races every hour)

Location: Camp 7, Riverside State Park, Spokane, WA

Event Format

The Tartarus Backyard Ultra follows the traditional last person standing format, popularized by Gary Cantrell (Lazarus Lake). Each participant must complete their laps within one hour to continue racing. The race continues until only one runner and one rucker remain.

Course Details

• Run Event: 4.1667 Mile Laps
• Ruck Event: 2.2 Mile Laps

Amenities

Participants will receive a T-shirt and a unique award for the winners. Water, coffee, and Hammer Nutrition will be provided at the event. Portable toilets will be accessible near the start line.

Prices: Run Event - $120.37; Ruck Event - $120.37; Backyard 24 - $109.25 (taxes and fees included)

Fundraising

Participants can opt to fundraise instead of paying the registration fee. Fundraising over the $100 minimum allows for free entry into the race. Join us and help achieve our goal of raising $3000.00!
