The Unforeseen - Kingfisher Ultras

Welcome to The Unforeseen and the first race of Kingfisher Ultras! This event will take place at Reedy Creek Nature Preserve in Charlotte, NC. The race distance is random by a dice roll 15 seconds before the race starts, ranging from 4.5 to 27 miles. Each lap is 2.25 miles on a flat gravel and single track course. Packet pickup starts at 7:20 am. The course will be marked with yellow arrows at each trail junction.

Course Details

Starting at the pavilion behind the nature center, follow the Umbrella Tree trail, south fork trail, Sierra trail, Sassafras trail, Dragonfly Pond, and Dragonfly trail, finishing by the pavilion. GPX File: Download GPX File

Aid Station

The aid station will be at the pavilion behind the nature center, offering snacks, refills, and first aid if needed. Drop out policy in place.

Prize

The winner will receive a Damascus steel knife from Peter Mignone at Arbor Novo. Bibs will be assigned randomly, with the youngest runner receiving bib number 1.

Refund Policy

Refunds are available within 90 days (100%) and within 30 days (50%). No refunds for canceled races, but entrants will receive a free race entry.
