The Northport Running Club's Tough Cookie 8K is a challenging and fun race entirely on trails in Sunken Meadow State Park.

All net proceeds are donated to local charities, with past recipients including the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference and The Ecumenical Lay Council Northport Food Pantry.

Time: Start at 10:00 AM, rain or shine

This is an 8K (5 mile) trail race set in one of the most beautiful locations on Long Island. The run is mostly on trails, beginning at sea level and offering stunning views of the Long Island Sound.

Participants will enjoy cookies at water stops, free professional race photos, and post-race cookies!

Registration and Costs

Registration is available until December 5, 2024, at a price of $25, which increases afterward. Late registration is $30 on race day (cash or check).

Awards

Awards are given to the top three finishers in multiple categories.
