Trail running adventure: Barry Sidings Countryside Park

About the Event

This is a cracking trail running adventure at Barry Sidings Countryside Park. The looped run climbs up towards the top of the forest, providing amazing views of the Rhondda Fawr and Rhondda Fach valleys. After the run, you can enjoy a hot drink at the café.

• Date: Saturday 16th November 2024
• Time: Meet at 08:50 for a 09:00 am start
• Location: Barry Sidings Countryside Park, Trehafod, CF37 2PE, Wales
• Distance: Approx. 7 miles, 1,000 ft elevation
• Terrain: A mix of forest roads, gravel, and soft, muddy trails
• Difficulty: Easy to moderate, suitable for beginners and more experienced runners
• Kit Required: Waterproof jacket, spare warm layer, trail shoes, leggings, beanie or buff, gloves, fully charged mobile phone, 500ml of water, and snacks

Post-Run

Join us for a hot drink at the café after the run.

Safety

All runs are led by a qualified coach and run leader who is outdoor first aid trained. Routes are fully reccied and risk assessed.
