Cherokee 5K Turkey Strut

Event Overview

We are offering two ways to enjoy the 2024 Cherokee 5K Turkey Strut run/walk: On-Site and In-Person on November 23rd at Kituwah Mound in Bryson City, NC. For those who live out of the area, we also offer the DIY 5K from November 16th-24th.

On-Site Event

Hosted by Cherokee Choices, the Cherokee 5K Turkey Strut Run/Walk accommodates everyone from seasoned runners to new joggers/walkers. Age groups (and awards) are available for 8 & Under, 9-12, & 13-16, making this a real family fun event!

Come out to enjoy a beautiful course that starts and finishes at the Kituwah Mound. All proceeds benefit Love People Well, and those who donate $50 or more will receive free entry!

Event Details

• Race Start: 12:00 NOON
• Registration: 11:00 to 11:45 AM on race day
• Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female

Entry Fees

Kids 12 & Under and Elders 60+: $5
Adults: $15 until November 2nd, then $20.

DIY 5K

This “Do It Yourself” (DIY) or virtual event lets participants run or walk at any time and location convenient for them. You can track your distance with any method—whether it’s running around the block, on trails, or even on a treadmill.

Participants who register for the On-Site 5K can switch to the DIY option at any time.
