Cottonmouth Beerlay

Get ready for the ultimate combination of running and drinking at the Annual Cottonmouth Beerlay! This event takes place at the Lakewood Nature Preserve, a 120-acre parcel of land featuring forest land, dirt trails, and countless plant and animal species. Participants can choose to run solo or with a team of 3 or 4 to complete the 8-mile course, which consists of 4 laps that are roughly 2 miles each. The course has a few rolling hills, switchbacks, and a nice little barn that will host music, awards, and of course, beer drinking staging area! To be eligible for awards, teams and individuals must drink 4 beers. The event is walker and dog-friendly, and participants will receive a custom race logo sticker, complimentary race photos, custom race bib, and Upstate Race Series socks. Donations and club membership discounts are available, and all club memberships fund the Upstate Running Club Youth Team with over 200 members.
