Counties Cycle Classic 2024

This year’s Counties Cycle Classic is heading back to the picturesque Franklin countryside for a repeat of last year’s successful event. Home base is at the Otaua Hall on Maioro Road south of Waiuku. Running round a 15km course, with magnificent views of the mighty Waikato River, there will be three options, two circuits for beginners, three for e-bikes, and six circuits for serious riders. Registration is open from 8.00 and races kick off at 9.45. Entry fees are $65 for the short run, and e-bike and $75 for the main race. An early bird discount of $15 applies till the end of September. And do remember, all profits get ploughed right back into the community. We aim to provide the CCC as an opportunity to have a blast around Franklin for training and competitive riding three weeks out from the Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge which takes place on Saturday 30 November.

Electric Bicycles

Counties Cycle Classic will again run a special category for E-bikes. This will be the Counties Energy Electric Bike race of 3 laps (45km). Any electric bikes are eligible so long as they have pedals and can be ridden by pedal power alone. (Electric motorcycles are not allowed).
