About the Event
DPS Education Foundation Turkey Trot 2024
Time to break out the turkey costumes and strap on your running shoes! The fourth Turkey Trot will take place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28th!
The event will start and end at American Legion Field, the home of the Danville Otterbots. All proceeds go toward programs, initiatives, and scholarships for DPS students and teachers.
Event Details:
- Children's Fun Run: 8:30 AM
- 5K Run/Walk: 9:00 AM
- Course: The entire race will be along the beautiful Dan River on the Riverwalk Trail.
Entry Fees:
- Children's Fun Run (12 and under): Free (with adult registration)
- 5K Run/Walk: $30 (pre-register), $35 (race day)
- All area students (17 and under): $15 (pre-register), $20 (race day)
Packet pick-up will be available on race day beginning at 7:00 AM.
All race registrants registered by 11/13/24 will receive a long-sleeve performance shirt. Trophies and medals will be awarded.
