Frosty Woods - A Winter Way Over Yonder Trail Adventure

Event Overview

The 2024 Way Over Yonder Trail Run Series continues with our winter trail run experience on Saturday, December 7, 2024. We invite you to experience the trails of Ringwood—a beautiful venue we've cherished for over 20 years.

Course Description

Expect a mix of singletrack trails and rolling hills:

• Half Marathon: Two loops of the extended 10K loop (760 ft elevation gain).
• 10K: Features a loop (700 ft elevation gain).
• 5K: A 3.0 mile course accessible to all runners with just under 400 feet elevation gain.

Be prepared for a cupless aid station, so remember to bring a cup or bottle.

Requirements

Make sure to bring:

• Charged Cell Phone
• RideWithGPS App pre-loaded
• Hydration Pack or Water Bottle
• Minimum 200 calories of nutrition (gels, chews, bars, etc.)
• Whistle
• Micro Spikes or Yaktrax (highly recommended)

Weather Considerations

Temperatures in early December can range from 25 to 45 degrees. Dress in layers and consider using running tights. Long sleeve technical T-shirts will be available for sale, along with trail running shoes or hiking boots.

Parking & Volunteers

Ample parking available at Shepard Lake, just a short walk to the start/finish line.

If you’re interested in volunteering, you’ll receive race swag and be invited to the post-race celebration.

Registration Fees

All prices include taxes and fees:

• Half Marathon: $56.68 ($67.31 after October 31)
• 10K: $46.06 ($51.37 after October 31)
• 5K: $35.43 ($40.75 after October 31)
