Helping Hand Run & Jam

The Helping Hand Run & Jam is a 5k race to raise money and awareness for food insecurity in Warren County. All race profits will be donated to Helping Hand, Indianola's local food pantry.

To sign up for the race, you can bring five non-perishable food items or pay $10 when registering. Run & Jam is for anyone from a seasoned runner ready to get a new PR to someone looking for a relaxing Saturday morning walk with friends to help a great cause.

This event is a down-and-back race on a paved trail (McVay Trail), so participants can have stable ground while they run. To provide entertainment for runners and spectators, we will have KNIA's Big Red Radio to help amp up the beginning of the race and speakers playing along the whole trail to keep the fun going.

Indianola Hyvee will provide water and snacks at the end of the race. In addition to Hyvee's generous donations, you can purchase burgers and brats from Hyvee (all profits will go to Helping Hand) and ice cream from Outside Scoop's ice cream truck as a sweet reward for your accomplishments.
