About the Event
We are back on the Boone Greenway Trail for the 13th Annual High Country Turkey Trot 5K, The LARGEST 5K in the High Country! The High Country Turkey Trot 5K incorporates a Costume Contest, Prizes for Top 3 Men's & Women's Racers and Commemorative Souvenir T-Shirts! All participants are asked to bring non-perishable boxes or canned food items!
Start Time:
5k Race Start Time: 9:00 Fun Run/Walk will begin once all racers have cleared the start line. Fun Run casual walkers, runners and joggers immediately following.
Route Terrain:
5K RACE: Greenway Trail + Path – partial paved, partial dirt path with a slight incline around the 1⁄2 way point. FUN RUN / WALK: Greenway Trail - 100% paved
First Aid Provided by: Watauga Medics, stationed at the start/finish line.
Awards: Age Group Winner Certificates will be mailed to the top finisher in each of the following groups for men and women: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
