High Strides Against Diabetes

The 2nd Annual High Strides Against Diabetes highlights the missions of two local farms to improve the lives of their communities through education about the benefits of healthy eating. Both Kim High and Ms. Opal Lee, who have faced diabetes, advocate for better food access and promote wellness through this charitable event.

In addition to raising awareness about healthy food access, this 5K Fun Run will help implement a fresh market stand on their farms, allowing residents to access fresh, healthy foods more consistently.
