About the Event
IDEA Public Schools 5K & Healthy Living Expo is back! On Saturday, March 1, 2025, we invite you to participate in our family-friendly event that promotes health and fitness among students and the community.

- Location: Ascarate Park, El Paso, TX 79905
- Parking: Free on-site parking available.
Race Schedule
- 5K Race: Starts at 8:15 AM
- 1 Mile Fun Run: Starts at 8:25 AM
Awards
Every registered runner in the 1 Mile & 5K receives a Finisher Medal. Trophies will be awarded for the top 3 male and female finishers in each of the following age categories:
- 12 & Under
- 13-18
- 18-50
- 50+
Packet Pick-Up
Packets can be picked up on:
- Thursday, February 27th & Friday, February 28th: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM at IDEA El Paso Regional Office
- Saturday, March 1, 2025: 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM at Ascarate Park
Support Our Schools
Proceeds from the Healthy Kids Here 5K Run will support programming efforts for scholars at IDEA El Paso schools.
