The Jackalope Jam is a 6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, 48-hour, 72-hour, and 100-hour timed event format, where you record the greatest distance possible during your chosen duration while running, walking, hiking, or participating in separate ruck divisions.
Every participant receives a medal, in addition to buckles earned for solo competitors completing 100 kilometers, or more. The event is held at 7IL Ranch, allowing for open access all week, course-side camping, great facilities, and beautiful landscape. The out-and-back course will be exactly 2 miles (one mile out, one mile back) on a short-grass/gravel farm road.
There will be one main aid station at the start/finish, fully stocked with our standard Texas-sized ultra buffet support. Runners can set up their own tent and support area along the course line, with the opportunity to take long rest breaks, sleep, or return later to complete more miles. Only fully complete laps will count toward your distance (2 miles at a time).
Each time an additional team member registers, the previous members will receive a $10 refund for every new person added. All members pay the same amount; the larger the team, the lower the per-person registration fee. Teams can compete in one of three divisions: all male, all female, or coed (minimum 2 female).
