Mermaid Tri & Du Clinic

Join us for the Mermaid Tri & Du Clinic on September 8, 2024, at Capitola Beach. This event is perfect for beginners and experienced athletes alike. The triathlon & duathlon clinic will cover every aspect of racing a triathlon or duathlon. If this is your first triathlon, we recommend that you attend both the Swim Clinic AND the Tri & Du clinic.

Event Details

The clinic is designed to give you a 'mini' triathlon or duathlon experience. Triathletes will do the sprint distance swim as well as practice transitioning from the swim to bike to run, which is a very important aspect of triathlon. Duathletes will practice the run and transitioning from the run to bike to run.

What to Bring

Participants are encouraged to bring swim gear (goggles, swim cap, swimsuit, wetsuit), running gear, towel, cycling gear (helmet, bike, bike shoes, pump), and any questions you may have about the event.

Topics Covered

We will cover many topics including open water swimming, race strategy (entering and exiting the water), setting up a transition, bike equipment, and basic triathlon & duathlon knowledge.

Registration

The clinic is limited to 45 women. The cost is $54.00, and if you sign up for two or more clinics, you will receive a free Mermaid shirt. Registration fees are inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees.
