New Deal 50K

Event Overview

The New Deal 50K is inspired by the historic JFK 50 miler and offers participants a challenging experience at FDR State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. It features a unique combination of road and trail running, designed to keep participants engaged with rolling hills and scenic views.

Course Details

The route begins at the Country Store in Pine Mountain and follows Highway 190 to the trail head on Highway 27, covering 12 miles. Then, runners will take the Pine Mountain Trail back to the Country Store, totaling 35 miles. A detailed map will be provided soon!

Self-Supported Race

This is a self-supported event; runners need to manage their own supplies. However, there are designated aid spots where you can drop off supplies at trail heads including Fox Den, Molly Hugger, and Rocky Point.

Results and Verification

To submit results, all participants must register for the race and join the designated Strava group. Results will be verified and posted on Ultrasignup. The race has been known for its difficulty and has seen only a handful of solo finishers in previous years.
