About the Event
Event Overview
The Newport Resolution Run & Polar Bear Plunge features three races:
- 5k Walk/Run - Distance: 5K
- 10k Run - Distance: 10K
- Half Marathon - Distance: 13.1 Miles
The 5k & 10k are both flat and fast - perfect to start the new year with a PR. The half marathon has a challenging but fun course. It starts and ends flat but the middle 10k are challenging single track trails. The half marathon has a cutoff time of 2:45, which means support will be minimal after this time. However, race staff will be cheering you on at the finish line!
Refund & Transfer Policy
No refunds will be given unless you cancel 30 days prior to the race, in which case you will receive a 50% credit toward future races. Transfers are allowed with a $10 fee until the transfer deadline of December 25, 2024.

Finish Line: At the Pacific Ocean shoreline. Option to stay dry or take the plunge in the ocean!
