OBX Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Run

Event Overview

We are so excited to bring back an awesome Outer Banks tradition in the Town of Southern Shores! Show your thanks this Thanksgiving by running as a family in the 15th annual OBX Turkey Trot. Thanksgiving morning is a perfect time to be surrounded by family and friends in the beautiful town of Southern Shores.

Lace up your sneakers and come on out to run or walk with us! Participants will enjoy pancakes, one-of-a-kind raffles, and the chance to win a Thanksgiving Pie for the first male and female finishers. Each finisher will also receive a themed medal!

The OBX Turkey Trot is a 5k and children’s fun run to support the non-profit organization, OBX GO FAR, which aims to educate children on healthy habits and encourage active lifestyles.

Online registration will open on September 1st. Late registration info is available at Packet Pick-up on November 27th from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM. Race Day registration is also available from 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM.

Contact and Parking Information

Parking will be available at the Southern Shores town hall or at Southern Shores Crossing shopping center off HWY 12. Please do not park in the Goodwill shopping center behind the town hall.
