Oglebay 0.5k Beer Dash

Join us at Oglebayfest weekend, Sunday October 5th for our 0.5k Beer Dash! This is a zero-point-five-kilometer (0.5k) event, a fun run around Schenk Lake. Head out around the Schenk Lake 'course' and back; just try not to spill your beer, it's bad for the grass! Go whatever pace you like - no matter what there’s a beer waiting for you at the finish line! The winners will be determined by a combination of their time and by the amount left in their mug.

What’s included?!

• TWO (2) free beers
• A souvenir Oglebay mug
• Awards 1st through 3rd place for both men's and women's divisions.

Important details:

• Registration is $20, and will begin at 10am at the Rathskeller, Hess Shelter.
• This is an open course, meaning the course will NOT be closed.
• You must bring a valid ID or driver’s license.
• You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. (Registered, underage participants will receive a non-alcoholic beverage)
• We run rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather.
• The fun-run starts at 11am, registration will begin at 10am at the Rathskeller/Hess Shelter. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to start time.
