About the Event
Event Overview
The Tidewater Striders and RunSomeMo Present the 2024 Salute to Service 5K & 1 Miler! This event celebrates all who have served our great country.
Course Details
Fast, flat course in downtown Suffolk. There will be 1 aid station with water located at approximately the 1.5-mile mark.
Post-Race Amenities
All registered runners will receive a Premium T-Shirt. Medals will be awarded to all finishers. Enjoy onsite hospitality and refreshments, including an after-party with live music, beer, pizza, snacks, and cold beverages.
Packet Pickups
Early Packet Pickup will take place at Momac Brewery on Friday, November 8th, from 3 PM to 6 PM. Race Day Packet Pickup will be available from 7 AM to 7:50 AM for the 5K and from 7 AM to 9 AM for the Mile near the starting area.
Race Times
The 5K race starts at 8 AM and the 1 Mile starts at approximately 9:15 AM.
Awards
For the 5K, awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and the top 3 in each age group. For the 1 Mile, awards will be given to the top 3 males and females in the specified age groups.
Military Teams
A Military team competition will be held, including awards for the largest team and fastest team. To qualify, a service member must have served in that branch.
