SGFMC TURKEY TROT 2024

Welcome to the 42nd (XLII) St. Giles Family Mass Community Turkey Trot (SGFMC).

Date: Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024.

Race Start Time: 9:30 AM.

Start Location: In front of the St. Giles Gym, 1034 Linden Ave, Oak Park, Illinois.

Entry fee is $20 plus a small management fee. Tee shirts are available for $15.00 each in limited adult sizes S, M, L, and XL. Registration is limited to 375 participants, and spots may fill quickly.

Course Details

The course is approximately 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) long and is not certified. The route will start at the St. Giles Gym and will wind through the surrounding neighborhood before finishing back at the gym.

Awards

There is no formal awards ceremony; however, medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers. All age group top finishers will receive a commemorative ribbon.

Proceeds

All proceeds from the race will benefit the "Companions Journeying Together" program and the Migrant Ministry of the Catholic Parishes of Oak Park, focusing on supporting the emotional and social needs of the community.
