Shire / Giant Texas 5K Fun Run

Event Overview

The Shire / Giant Texas 5K Fun Run is the ONLY fun run in the distillery district of the historic Houston East End! Join us on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, and celebrate afterwards at the Shire and Giant Texas Distilleries. The course is officially measured and USATF certified, and the race is chip-timed.

This event benefits The Village Connect (TVC), a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to aiding the 3000+ people teetering on homelessness in Houston, TX. Come run for a good cause!

Race t-shirts guaranteed to racers registered by January 23rd, 2025.

Due to TABC laws, hard liquor will not be available until after 10:00am.

Registration Fees

• Thru Jan 23rd:
• 5K: $35
• 5K + distillery tasting wristband: $45
• After Jan 23rd:
• 5K: $40
• 5K + distillery tasting wristband: $50
• Sleep-In Supporter: $20

Awards

Medals awarded for top Male and Female, Master's Male and Female. Age Divisions: Male & Female under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Race Day Schedule

• 8:00am: Check in begins. Online registration only (no cash)
• 9:00am: Race Start
• 9:30am: Post Race Party Begins

Packet Pick-Up

Early Packet Pick-Up: February 7th at Shire Distilling, 1010 Lockwood Dr, Houston, TX 77020. Morning of the race at Giant Texas Distillery, 5610 Clinton Dr, Houston, TX 77020.
