The Ruff Dog Mountain Trailhead Race

Welcome to The Ruff Dog Mountain Trailhead Race! This event is a challenging trail run that takes participants up Dog Mountain in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The race starts and finishes at the Dog Mountain Trailhead, offering a 7-mile course on single-track trails.

Participants will ascend 3 miles to the summit of Dog Mountain, enjoying breathtaking views of the Columbia River, Mt. Hood, and Mt. St. Helens along the way. After reaching the summit, runners will descend 4 miles down Augspurger Trail to the finish line.

Top finishers in various categories will receive awards, including prizes from our sponsors. Beer from Ninkasi Brewing Company and a complimentary lunch will be provided for all racers. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the race due to permit conditions.
