About the Event

The event is set to take place over 9 hours and invites participants to join one of Thomasville’s premier events - the Clay Road Classic. This year, attendees can enjoy spectator-friendly circuit races, live music, delicious local food, shopping vendors, and a variety of family activities. Your participation helps benefit the Pebble Hill Preservation Fund.

This self-supported endurance gravel road riding event is designed for cycling enthusiasts and will take place on the beautiful clay roads celebrated as the best in the country. To navigate the route, participants will need a phone with the "Ride With GPS" app or a GPS device as there are no markings along the course.

Event Highlights

  • 30 & 50 Clay Road Rides - Begins at 9am
  • Circuit Races with a $3000 Purse - Starts at 10:30am

  • Live Music from 11:30am to 5pm, featuring Baby Gray and Far 2 Fresh
  • Food & Drinks served from 8am-10am and 11am-4pm

  • Pebble Hill Grounds Tours available from 1pm to 4pm
  • Local Vendor Retail Expo opens at 11am
  • Gates open at 7am

Attendance is capped at 1,000 pre-event tickets available for riders, racers, and spectators. Entry fees for non-registrants is $10 per person or $50 per vehicle.

Clay Ride Routes

The rides start at 9am from the Pebble Hill staging area with a police escort to the first clay road. Registration is limited to 300 participants.

Circuit Races

The circuit race is a 2.2-mile lap with qualifying and final races planned. Entries are limited to 230 racers, with the final race boasting a payout of $3000!

Important Information

  1. Self-supported rides with no official rest stops.
  2. Restrooms and water stops are marked on maps.
  3. Participants must comply with Clay Road Classic Terms and Conditions.
  4. Packet pick-up is available on Friday, February 7th from 12:00pm - 7pm or on event day at 7:30am.

Networking Opportunities

Participating vendors include Active Soles, Big Adventure Outfitters, and others. Special tours and tastings will also be available at the event venue.
