About the Event
The Woodpecker Six is a six hour endurance run taking place in the hilly and heavily wooded Pinicon Ridge Park in Central City, Iowa. The race course features a 1.2 mile trail loop with two large climbs and multiple stairs, mostly on woodland trails. Each loop has approximately 215 feet of elevation gain.
About the Event
The LoKeyz Trail Runners bring you the Woodpecker Six, a low key race where you can test your limits and see how many miles you can run in the 6 hour format. Run and walk as much or as little as you like, and enjoy the changing course direction every two hours to experience the trail in both directions.
The race will include generous aid station foods and beverages, a long sleeve race shirt, and special awards for runners who complete 24 loops or more. Additional funds raised will be donated to the Pinicon Ridge Park for trail improvements.

Woodpecker lodge will provide space for runner drop bags and outdoor staging areas. The race will go on rain or snow, so come prepared for all seasons. Please note that pets and strollers are not allowed on the course.
