11th Annual Tear Drop Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

Event Overview

Lace up your sneakers, lean forward, and get ready for the 11th Annual Tear Drop Half Marathon! If you’re looking for a fast and scenic half marathon, then join us on Sunday, April 27, 2025!

All distances will start on top of Fort Mountain at an elevation near 3000 feet and finish in Chatsworth, Georgia. The Half Marathon features over a 2000-foot drop and is USAT&F certified for those aiming to set a personal record. All courses are on paved roads and through the scenic Cohutta Wilderness Area.

Race Details

• Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles - Starts at 7:30 AM
• 10K: 6.2 Miles - Starts at 7:50 AM
• 5K: 3.1 Miles - Starts at 8:05 AM

Course Details

The racecourses feature significant downhill sections, with 7 miles downhill for the Half Marathon, 5 miles for the 10K, and 2 miles for the 5K. Be prepared for beautiful views and an exhilarating race!

Amenities

All finishers will receive custom medals and t-shirts depending on the race distance. Additionally, enjoy live music and post-race food and drinks, including BBQ and beer for participants 21 and over.

This event also supports the Murray Arts Council, contributing to local arts and live performances in the Chatsworth area.
