2025 Bishop Fleming Great West Run

Take on the challenge of the 2025 Great West Run this May. Starting and finishing at Exeter Arena, the Great West Run takes in everything that is great about the beautiful city of Exeter. From rolling hills, quiet country lanes and a city centre loop, the Great West Run will challenge you, as you push for the finish line on the track at Exeter Arena.

Event Details

The event features three distances: the Half Marathon (13.1 miles), 10k, and the Community Mile. The Half Marathon starts at 9:00 am, followed by the Community Mile at 9:15 am, and the 10k at 9:30 am. Participants can expect a fully closed-road route with energy drink and water stations along the way.

What’s Included

All finishers will receive a bespoke finisher's medal and a sustainably-sourced finisher t-shirt. Enjoy music and cheer points on the course, and experience the iconic finish line at Exeter Arena.

Logistics

The event village opens at 7:30 am, and a bag drop facility will be available for all participants. Please note that there is a strict 4-hour cut-off time for the Half Marathon. Shuttle bus services will be available for participants and spectators.

Age Requirements

Participants must be 17 years or older for the Half Marathon and 15 years or older for the 10k. There is no minimum age for the Community Mile, but younger children should be accompanied by an adult.
