Program Details

The FAB 5K Challenge Program is a FREE program for youth girls in grades 6-8, combining sport (running) with a goal-setting framework. Participants are trained to finish a 5km run, with all skill levels welcomed.

Program Includes:

12-week training from April to mid-June at community centres in Hamilton.
Weekly meetings with volunteer female coaches.
Free running shoes, healthy snacks, and a FAB t-shirt.
Entry and transportation to events and races.

Eligibility

For females in grades 6-8, residing within 3 kilometres of a program location. A total of 150 participants will be accepted, with priority given to returning members.

Key Dates:

Program Begins: Week of March 31st
Kick-Off Assembly: April 5th
3K Trail Run: April 27th
Track Run & Shoe Distribution: May 31st
FAB 5k Run: June 14th
Final Session: June 16th-20th
